A Brand Is Born

The Natural Intimacy Brand

Ethical Family Living, a passionate push into mindful consumerism.

We have been consumers for all of our lives. Now perhaps we are also the products. Sad but true.

But we allow this to happen, even if we don’t realise it.

Measurable apathy in politics is increasing across the developed world as people believe that their vote doesn’t count, another election won’t change the status quo. What is often forgotten is that we have an even more powerful way of having our voices heard in a way that truly can change the status quo. It’s how and where we choose to spend our money.

Our pockets, purses, credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets hold the true power that is sought after.

In the same way that established media might push for us to democratically vote for established political parties, when the commercial break comes on established brands push us to spend our money with them as conventional consumers making a smart choice.

We would ask people to slow down and take stock of their purchasing decisions. Do they need it? Will they use it? Who profits from their purchase? Who made the product? Was it made using slave labour? Did it contribute to an environmental problem? How will they dispose of it at the end of it’s useful life?

There’s so much to look at, a whole rabbit hole to disappear into and to be honest we’ve only just started to scratch the surface ourselves. We’re still discovering, still learning and hopefully we’ll be sharing that with you, here.

As a business, yes we trade, it pays the bills, but our goal is to be an ethical business. Not just stocking more thoughtful product choices but also supporting our suppliers and stake holders, treating our customers with dignity and paying our taxes. We can’t wave a magic wand and change the system that we operate in but we can try to be better players.

Stick with us on this journey and let’s see where we can get to, together!
